Are you a proven leader in site development and excavation? Do you thrive in fast-paced environments, balancing people, equipment, and timelines across multiple job sites? This could be your next big move. An established and growing 100% employee-owned civil contractor in the DFW area is looking for an Area Superintendent to lead field operations for multiple site development and earthwork projects. You’ll supervise 6–7 experienced crews across multifamily and commercial job sites, ensuring safety, schedule, and productivity are consistently on point.
This is a high-impact leadership role ideal for someone who’s outgrown running one job at a time and is ready to oversee a regional portfolio.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee multiple crews performing excavation, grading, and dirt work
- Coordinate scheduling, logistics, and equipment utilization across sites
- Ensure all projects are delivered safely on time, and to spec
- Serve as the top field leader—coaching foremen, resolving issues, and communicating with PMs and clients
- Uphold and enforce strict safety standards and quality control protocols
What You Bring
- 7+ years of experience in excavation, site development, or civil construction
- Strong leadership and team coordination abilities
- Knowledge of grading plans, GPS machine control, and mass excavation techniques
- A sharp sense of accountability and urgency
- Ability to manage people, not just tasks
