We are exclusively representing a young, progressive, private real estate company that specializes in ground-up development of high-end multifamily, single-family, mixed-use, garden office and retail. Their internal construction group functions as a turn-key design-build general contractor for the majority of their and their partners’ projects. They are currently seeking to fill the position of Preconstruction Leader in DFW, TX.

Role: Preconstruction Leader in DFW, TX
This role will be responsible for leading the preconstruction efforts for multiple multifamily projects, working closely with the development team to ensure project success. The ideal candidate will have strong client relationship experience, successful project preconstruction track record and quality trade partner relationships.
Position Insight:
This firm brought construction in-house around 2 years ago and they have been expanding the division ever since. They have recently expanded their Construction services to outside parties as well and just recently landed their first 3rd party General Contractor contract.
They have a variety of projects in various phases of design and development which offers them an extremely healthy pipeline of activity going forward. There will be a LOT of Growth.
They offer competitive compensation and bonus quarterly based on Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s). As an employer they meet with every employer quarterly to assess progress and performance.
Essential Functions of a Preconstruction Leader:
- Oversee project estimate preparation, ensuring completeness and accuracy of subcontractor bids.
- Liaise between Owner, Architect, Consultants, and Construction team for compliance and efficiency
- Collaborate with assistant project managers, project coordinators, and project engineers to ensure bidding and project files’ accuracy.
- Lead the team to achieve successful and profitable project awards.
- Establish and maintain excellent client relationships and effective working relationships with project stakeholders.
- Review plans and architectural drawings, preparing quantity take-offs for assigned projects.
- Follow approved practices consistent with company guidelines.
- Utilize software programs for estimating and track estimates, attending client meetings as requested.
- Analyze completed projects for cost comparisons, providing improvement recommendations to reduce discrepancies.
