Over the past few years, they have greatly expanded their presence, from their homebase in Lubbock, to West Texas and Fort Worth. This company is currently seeking to fill the position of Fort Worth Project Manager.

Role: Project Manager

Location: Western Fort Worth Office, the projects are in Fort Worth

The Project Manager will spend most of their time managing projects from the office; however, this general contractor does have a couple large projects starting soon, which they may need to visit the site for.

They will soon start 2 projects, and are currently finishing one. One is a project for Weatherford ISD, which is a $6MM job. Another is a Starbucks shell in Denton, which is a $1.5MM. They are finishing a Starbucks shell in Sanger and they have a decent backlog of work in the area.

$85k – $100k.  Their experience level would contend where in that range. They bonus a % off of each project.

  • Example: Say they pay $85k, and they may set in stone something that is 5% of what job made. If it made $100k they would get $5k if it made $1MM they would make $50k.
  • This is a commission style bonus.
  • This works for folks that like to go find work as well.

Essential Functions of a Fort Worth Project Manager:

  • Develop and maintain working relationships with Clients, Consultants, Subcontractors and other agencies of the project team.
  • Maintain project communication hierarchy and protocol between project teams
  • Plan and implement all procurement of materials and services for each project
  • Create scope of work assignments for each subcontractor and vendor
  • Create contracts with vendors and suppliers
  • Manage, supervise and be responsible for all project budgets and costs and participate in project accounting updates, approvals and processes
  • Manage subcontractor/vendor payment process
  • Prepare cost projections and cash flow reports
  • Manage subcontractor change order process, including tracking, budgeting and issuance of change orders
  • Create, maintain and manage project schedules
  • Schedule and attend all job meetings
  • Manage Project closeout and Subcontractor closeout procedures
  • Strengthen project management through effective communication and coordination, with both internal team members and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct Quality Control/Quality Assurance initiatives.
  • Manage the RFI process and Submittal process.
